IHS All Sports Season Pass
Indy Spirit Wear
The Indy wrestling team
invoked a little revenge this past weekend as they were in
Clarksville for the annual "Slamfest Dual Tournament." Earlier
this season the Eagles only loss came at the hands of
Clarksville. This past weekend the Eagles were able to capture
the team title by defeating Clarksville in the finals. The win
could not come in better fashion for the Eagles. Independence
had to forfeit its 103 lbs class and the final match of the
tournament was the heavy weight division. Independence's Heavy
Weight Dalton Burge needed to pin his opponent in order for the
team to win, Burge came through for the Eagles with a pin and
the win. The Eagles fans erupted as the referee slam his hand
down on the mat putting the exclamation point on a terrific win
for the Eagles. Burge moves to 14-1 on the season and went 3-0
in the tournament. The dual scores are posted below along with
their individual successes. Dual 1: Independence 59 Rossview 18 Dual 2: Independence 42 Cookville 36 Dual 3: Independence 60 Hendersonville 15 Semifinals: Independence 32 Blackman 30 Finals: Independence 32 Clarksville 27 103 Collin Adams: Wrestled very tough for
