WCS OUTPERFORMS STATE ON ACT
Williamson County students continue to outperform their peers on
the ACT test. “I am ecstatic about how well our students
continue to perform,” said Director of Schools Dr. Rebecca Sharber.
“We have put in place a formula for success and it is working. Our
teachers and administrators are to be commended for a job well done,
and our students and parents are to be celebrated as well.”
The ACT test is a graduation requirement for all Williamson County
Schools students. The district pays for students to take the test
one time. “Our Composite score was 22.6, and all of our
students took the test. In many other states and school districts
only a small percentage of students take the test each year,” said
Sharber. “We are celebrating this success, and we are working to
make sure the next group of students who take the ACT will also have
reason to be proud.”

reflect the test data of the 2008 graduates and each student’s
highest test score.
