WCS is proud to announce the Master Teacher of Technology Integration summer training opportunity for all teachers in the Williamson County Schools.  You will learn how, when, and where to incorporate technology tools and resources into your teaching and how to create assessment tools and align lesson plans with curriculum standards.  Upon completion, you will leave with a product you can use in your classroom and WCS certification as a technology master teacher.  The goal is to prepare today’s teachers and students for tomorrow’s demands

You asked for it and we listened – training will be conducted to meet the instructional needs of our students and the technology needs of our teachers.  All training will be conducted in schools throughout the district by WCS teachers currently teaching in grades K-12.  Each of these teachers will have been trained by a nationally recognized trainer and utilizing the Intel Teach to the Future training materials.  Training is 40 hours in length and will occur in the month of June.  You choose the location and instructor for your training you believe best meets your needs.  Training will earn inservice credit.

This extensive curriculum includes the following highlights and many other learning opportunities:

Planning for technology use around limited connectivity

Creating scaffolds to support your students

Sharing student publications and evaluations tools

Managing, storing, and accessing student computer files

Strategies for supporting the diverse needs of learners

Best practices for managing student use of computers in the classroom
