Caroline Croteau, Third Grade

My name is Caroline Croteau and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach third grade again this year at Longview. I have been teaching since 1991 and have had the pleasure of teaching almost every grade level, from preschool to 5th graders. I truly love third graders and their ability to think independently but still appreciate encouraging support from adults. I graduated from FSU along with my husband Rodney, so we are huge Seminole fans. I am also a tennis fanatic and spent a few years teaching that as well. I am originally from Atlanta, Ga. and I thought that was the best place in the world to live. Our family relocated to Tennessee in 2003 and I cannot tell you how happy we are to be here in Spring Hill. I could not have imagined a better place to raise a family. I have 2 children, Taylor is 15 and will be a 10th grader at Independence this year and Hayden is 13 and will be a 7th grader at Heritage Middle school. Please pray for me!

Over the years I have grown and learned so much as an educator. However, my personal philosophy has never changed. I believe that all children can learn and have the right to learn. I also believe that true learning occurs when children are engaged and having fun. Therefore, I try to incorporate real life learning experience in all academic areas that include all learning styles. I am excited about the opportunity to teach your children citizenship, self- confidence, and self worth, as well as, our fun packed curriculum.

I look forward to another amazing year at Longview. I am honored to be a part of the Longview family and community and I hope to help establish Longview as the number one school in Williamson County.
