Hi.  I'm Lauren Griffin, and I am very excited to be here at Longview!This is my second year here in third grade.  It is also my second year teaching.  I have worked with children and in the education field since I was eleven doing everything from babysitting to nannying to tutoring!  Being able to see the learning process take place is one of my favorite things.  I have been in the Nashville area for 4 years.  I lived in Columbus, OH before that where I received my B.A. in Speech Communications and Public Relations at Otterbein College.  I moved here when my parents gave me an offer I couldn't refuse!  They helped me go back to school at MTSU to get my Masters in Education. 

During my graduate program, I met my husband, Nathan.  We have been married now for just over a year.  Our only child is Tyrone, our very spoiled Yorkie.  We like to think of him as a little boy in a fur coat.  As a family we love to hike,camp, and kyak.  I am an avid reader and love music.  I also love to cook vegetarin meals with Nathan.  I love to laugh and have a good time while at the same time being productive; I like to call it "tricking yourself into learning".  I am really looking forward to seeing how this year unfolds!
