Paula Morrison, Fifth Grade

My name is Paula Morrison and I been teaching at Longview Elementary for 2 years. I love teaching 5th graders!  I have had the privilege of teaching 5th grade, 3rd grade and special education.

I live in Williamson County with my wonderful husband Hamp, two teenage sons, and the cutest dog in the world, Blue.  My family spends our time doing homework, being involved in our church, going to sporting events, and loving “calm” moments together.

I am a Midwest girl having lived in various places from California to Tennessee.  I received my B.A. in Vocal Performance from Judson College, Elgin, Illinois.  Then I continued my vocal studies at the American Conservatory of Music (Chicago).  I received a Masters in Vocal Pedagogy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Kentucky.  How did I arrive in Nashville?  Music of course!  I sang across the country for many years and taught voice privately, too.  During this time I had a growing desire to nurture students in the classroom.  I fulfilled that desire when I received my Masters in the Art of Teaching at Trevecca Nazarene University and I have loved every minute of teaching.

This will be a thrilling year as your child prepares for middle school and beyond.  I am committed to helping each child reach their potential, working with their individual learning style.  Ultimately, I want to lead your child to develop a lifelong passion for learning.  I look forward to partnering with you for the sole purpose of building a strong educational foundation for your child.
