Jamie Shell, Kindergarten

Hello!  My name is Jamie Shell and I would like to welcome you to Longview.  This will be my eighth year of teaching and I have taught Kindergarten for six years and one year of fourth grade.  I am originally from Spring Hill and attended Spring Hill public schools.  After high school, I attended Austin Peay State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Environmental Studies.  I also have a M.A.T. (Master of Arts and Teaching) degree from Belmont University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.  My daughter Brooklyn is eleven years old and will be attending Heritage Middle School this year and I also have a Shih-tzu named Emily who is thirteen years old. My hobbies include: kayaking, hiking, fashion, shopping, reading, and watching my daughter play fast pitch softball.  I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten and I am excited about the upcoming year.  I believe that children are true gifts and it is a pleasure for me to work with them, guide them, and love them as they grow.  Sincerely, Ms. Jamie Shell
