Jon Stephenson, Third Grade

"I teach because, being around people who are beginning to breathe, I occasionally find myself, quite magically, catching my breath with them."

--Peter G. Beidler

My name is Jon Stephenson and I have been teaching in Williamson County for six years.  Through my teaching experience thus far, I have enjoyed learning how to best reach each student. It is at an individual level that a teacher needs to know each child in order to help them be successful. I am very proud of teaching my students proper citizenship and etiquette as well as our curriculum. My belief is simple – all children can learn.

I grew up in southern Indiana and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (K-8) from Indiana State University.  I am also highly qualified in mathematics.

I have found a great place I now call home here in Spring Hill with my family.  I enjoy the many benefits of Tennessee living, from the professional sport teams to the wonderful country roads.  Although being a Hoosier (and I do love my basketball), I am a huge fan of the game of baseball.  Being a BIG Cubs fan, I would like to say that this year is our year!

I look forward to another year of what is becoming one of Williamson County’s finest elementary schools.  With the energy of this faculty and staff and the participation and encouragement of the parents, we will surely create a great environment of learning for our students.
