Sharon
Tester, Third Grade |

Hi, my name is Sharon Tester and I have enjoyed teaching
at Longview Elementary! I have taught in
Williamson County for 6 years. I didn’t begin my
career as a teacher. First, I obtained a B.S. in
Graphic Design from Appalachian State University.
I worked in Nashville as a graphic designer for over
seven years. I became a stay-at-home mom for six
years while my children were young. I have three
children ages 16, 13, and 13. Yes, the last two
came together! When they were school age, I went
back to school and obtained a Masters of Arts and
Teaching from Belmont University. Teaching is my
purpose and passion! My teaching philosophy
focuses around the belief that a child will desire to
learn and is able to learn if they believe they can
learn. Reaching each child where they are
academically and emotionally is my first objective.
Then, we travel through many learning experiences and
stretch to achieve an excitement for learning and
independence. I recognize that each student is
unique and try to provide as many learning style
opportunities as possible. I am looking forward
working with you and your family!
