Summer Reading 2008

It is suggested that summer reading be completed before school
begins on August 11.

     At Longview, we want to foster a deep love for reading in our students.  As with anything else in life, “practice makes perfect.”  Students tend to develop a love for reading when they see people that they admire enjoying reading.  As teachers and parents, we should model a love for reading with our students.  We should also take time to read with them and discuss books together.  If a child finds success in reading, we feel that success will also follow in other subject areas as well.  Make summer reading a time to connect with your child.  Reading is FUN!
