HOME VISITS PROGRAM

 

    The Middle College High School has established a Home Visits Program for the convenience of the students and parents of our school.  It is not always convenient for the student, parent, and teacher to meet at the campus when the need arises for a Parent-Teacher-Student conference.  Because we are trying to meet the needs of our students and parents, the MCHS faculty will visit the home of the student or a neutral locationn order to have the needed three way conference.

    The Middle College High School also places an immense amount of emphasis on our focus class.  This class allows students and teachers to have a good working relationship in the school environment.  We urge our focus teachers to make at least one home visit to each student in their focus class.  We urge each parent to take advantage of this visit to get to know the focus teacher of their teen.  We want parents and teachers communicating in ways other than the dreaded phone calls that make parents ask, "What has my child done now?"
