Playground
Rules
These rules are all
in effect before, during and after school hours, including SACC, weekends, and
extracurricular activities.
Thanks
for your help in enforcing these rules!
1. General
Play Area Rules
-Walk while on the blacktop or gravel drive.
-Rough or combative play will not be tolerated (touch
football
only).
-Balls will only be allowed on the blacktop areas for
4-square and
basketball.
-Students must stay within the fenced-in area.
-Students must have teacher permission to leave the playground.
-Everything on the ground must stay on the ground
(rocks, sticks, mulch, etc.)
2. Rules for Mulched Areas
-Everything on the ground must stay on the ground.
-Students will walk through the mulched areas.
-Enter mulched areas to play on the equipment only.
3.
Rules for Dome
-Two-handed climbing only.
-Students will not stand or walk on the top of the dome.
-Students will
not hang upside down.
-Students will not drop on, pull, or kick other students.
4. Rules for Swings
-Individual, seated swinging only.
-Students will swing only front to back and will get off
swing only after it has
come to a complete stop.
-Students will not climb up swing set poles.
-Students will propel themselves only.
5. Rules for Horizontal Bar
-Two-handed climbing only.
-Students
will not sit on top of equipment.
-Students will take turns (one on the ladder at a time).
-Students will only go in one direction.
6. Rules for Play Structure (maximum # of students =75)
-No climbing on top of any part of the Play Structure.
-1 student on the flyer at a time.
-1 student on the spiral on small single slide at a time.
-1 student only on each side of the double slide at a time.
-No
jumping off of the playstructure.
-1 child on the
fireman's pole at at time.
-1 child on the balance beam at a time.
-Children may not hang by their knees on the play structure.
-No running or shoving on the structure.
-No climbing up any of the slides.
-Please keep the mulch inside the borders of the
structure. Remember,
what's on the ground stays on the ground!
