School
History
Oak View opened its doors on November 22,
1993. Bethesda Elementary, located south of Oak View, was growing
rapidly; therefore the Williamson County School system built Oak View
to keep class sizes and student/teacher ratios low.
The Saturn Corporation's Spring Hill plant
helped the area surrounding our school expand quickly to create an
enrollment of 726 students at one time. At that time, Oak View
grew to be the largest elementary school in the Williamson County
School District. Later, another elementary school was built
nearby to accommodate our growing population. We currently have
an enrollment of 550 students.
Philosophy
& Mission Statement
We follow the philosophy and curriculum of
Williamson County School District. To find out more about our
county, click on our mascot below.
The mission of the OVES community is to
"Educate all students to
be
self-directed learners, critical thinkers, collaborative workers,
quality producers and responsible citizens of our democratic society."

Future
Plans
Our continuous growth has led to many changes
in the physical layout of our school. A new elementary school was
built and opened the 2002-03 school year which eased our previous
crowded conditions.
