Sara Cartwright
- Early Childhood Autism Assistant

Sara grew up here in Williamson County. She attended
and graduated from Battle Ground Academy High School in May
of 2000. From there she pursued a degree in Early
Childhood at The University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.
After attending school for a few years, she decided to get
some hands-on experience in the classroom and took a
position as a Preschool teacher for a school in Chattanooga.
In 2004, Sara moved back to Franklin and picked up her
teaching experience at a local preschool, working full-time.
Her passion for the education of young children grew and she
began classes to get her Child Development Associate (CDA)
Certification. In 2007, she acquired her CDA and began
training courses to further her knowledge in Early
Childhood. After two years back in Franklin, she
became a nanny for a family with three boys. The
youngest began treatment for Apraxia and Sensory Motor
Planning Disorder at 18 months. This sparked her
interest in children who have special needs. Now, in
her new position with WCS, she hopes to share her passion
for early learning and also learn more about all levels of
educating preschoolers.
