Home Practice Activities

These suggestions are general and will need to be adapted to the specific objectives of each child.

The idea is to provide practice at the level that is challenging but not frustrating for your child.

Although practicing at home is very important, we have to consider the age and tolerance level for each child.  Suggestions for home practice work best when done for a short while (5 to 10 minutes) every day instead of one time a week for an hour.

You know your child best.  Please use your own creativity to shape suggested interventions into activities that you and your child will enjoy.

Home practice suggestions are provided for the following areas:

Articulation

Language

Vocabulary

Basic Concepts

Listening

Speech
