Christy Akers graduated with a bachelors of social work in
1995. She completed her Master’s of Social Work at the
University of Southern Indiana in 1996.
Christy worked as a foster care caseworker and an adoption
counselor for seven years. She worked for Metropolitan
Nashville Public Schools as a school social worker during
the 2003/2004 school year. Christy joined Williamson County
Schools in 2004.
