The interscholastic activities in the Williamson County Schools are an important part of the overall educational process.  The athletic programs offer students expanded learning opportunities which include self-discipline, self-esteem, and teamwork.  Students who participate in extra curricular activities tend to get higher grades, demonstrate better attendance, and pose fewer discipline problems.

All Williamson County high schools which offer interscholastic sports are members of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) and abide by its constitution and by-laws in addition to the applicable policies of the Williamson County Board of Education.  The middle schools belong to the Williamson Middle Athletic Association (WMAA) and abide by its constitution and by-laws as well as the applicable polices of the Williamson County Board of Education.

The opportunity to participate in the athletic programs in the Williamson County Schools is extended to all students who meet the eligibility requirements of the TSSAA, policies of the Williamson County Board of Education, and/or guidelines set forth by the WMAA.  Before participating, students are required to have a physical on file along with necessary emergency medical information.  The forms are available on this site, TSSAA site, Star Physical Therapy site, and each of the local schools.

The information provide in this site is intended to give students, parents, coaches and community members valuable information to become better acquainted with the athletic programs offered in our Williamson County Schools.  This site offers links to the TSSAA website, each Williamson County middle and high school’s athletic web site, WMAA constitution and by-laws, WCBOE applicable policies, Star Physical Therapy information and other important information.
