Career and Technical
Student Organizations
Leadership development is an integral
part of the career and technical education curriculum. Leadership
training enhances self esteem and develops the teamwork essential for
acquiring and maintaining a successful career. Students enrolled in
career and technical education courses are strongly encouraged to
participate in the student organization which corresponds to the
course in which they are enrolled. Involvement in these organizations
allows students the opportunity to develop leadership skills through
participation in community service, competitive events (district,
region, state, and national) and elected leadership roles (local, state,
and national). Williamson County Schools is proud to have district,
regional, state, and national contest winners yearly and will often have
students who serve as state and national officers. There are seven
leadership organizations available to students in Williamson County
middle and/or high schools:
An Association of Marketing (DECA)
National FFA Organization (FFA)
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
