The mission of the WCS Child Nutrition department is to provide nutritionally, well balanced meals at an affordable cost to students while meeting all county, state and federal guidelines for accountability in addition to meeting necessary fiscal requirements.

The Williamson County Schools Child Nutrition Department operates within the requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture and Tennessee State Department of Education in offering meals that are nutritionally sound and provide 1/3 of the Recommended Daily Allowance of all nutrients and meals that have a total calorie content of 30% or less fat.

Elementary School menus are developed by the Child Nutrition Managers and Central Office staff.  Menus are nutritionally analyzed by Registered Dietitian Consultants.  Each school cafeteria will offer the traditional lunch pattern, and follows the current food pyramid guidelines, as well as options of salads or sack lunches.
