Healthy Highlights at Williamson County Schools

Crockett Elementary

Cafeteria – Has redefined its menu to reflect lower calories and more nutritious foods.  The colorful selections reflect that healthy foods are appealing and students are adapting their appetites to accept this healthier selection.

Classroom Teachers – 1st grade teachers make it a daily habit to take a fifteen minute walk with their students.  Many other teachers walk with their students consistently during the week.  All students move more today in the classrooms than in the past utilizing movement to rhythm to learn new sounds, involvement in active centers learning and going to specials’ classrooms.

Fall Fun Run – For all the students in the school. Students will be running during their specials time. Parents are welcome to join.

In-house Skating Field Trip – Students in first through fifth grades will be skating during their physical education class from November 10th through the 21st. Skating is a life-long sport that is a great way to stay physically fit.  For more information and schedules of times, visit the Crockett Elementary web site and click on the physical education tab.

Marathon - Students will be participating in the Country Music Kids’ Marathon in April.
