Healthy Highlights at Williamson County Schools

Fairview Elementary 

MYPYRAMID Contest  - 1st and 2nd graders are focused on following the 5-a-day fruits and vegetables guidelines.  The class that turns in the most diaries during the contest period wins the prize!  Parents are also getting involved.   

Physical Activities – 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are receiving training in certain skills that are not as common such as archery, skating and bowling. 

Staff Wellness Contest – Staff members participated in a Biggest Loser contest and reported a loss of 200 total lbs.  One contestant lost 16 lbs. and the cholesterol level dropped 50 points.  The school was challenged to bring in 200 nonperishable food items to donate to a local cause for each pound lost.
