Classroom teaching (health
related)

6th
grade is currently studying systems of the human
body beginning with the study of the
Skeletal/Muscular System.

7th
grade will have units on Mental Health,
Communicable Diseases, Drug Awareness, Alcohol
Facts, and Tobacco Facts.

8th
grade is currently studying the Rights and
Responsibilities of Minors in the state of
Tennessee according to Tennessee state law.
Intramural program – A vital part
of our healthy kids program.
The program consists of games that students
participate in to build self-esteem, cooperative
learning, and physical activity.
They are scheduled Monday through Thursday
11:35 until 12:35. Activities played
throughout the year include volleyball, ultimate
Frisbee, kickball, and basketball.
This program success is largely due to the support
of the faculty, staff, administration, and parent
volunteers.
