Healthy Highlights at Williamson County Schools

Take 10 – Classroom teachers are enhancing student health and providing students with brain-compatible learning using activities from “Take 10,” a classroom-based physical activity program for kindergarten through 5th grade students.  More information regarding Take 10 is available at http://www.take10.net/whatistake10.asp?page=new .

Fun Run – On the Friday of TCAP week, students participate in our annual Fun Run during their Specials times.  Parents are invited to come and get some exercise with their students and celebrate a successful week of testing! 

Marathon – Students and parents train in the Spring for the Country Music Kid’s Marathon.  Each Friday, they meet on the track to improve their lap times in preparation for the race in April. 

Parents Week – All parents are invited to come to one physical education class to get some exercise and have fun!  This is a special week for our students and parents.   

Social Break – Each day 2nd-5th graders go outside during the last 10 minutes of their lunch time to get some exercise and visit with their friends.
