Healthy Highlights at Williamson County Schools

Trinity Elementary

Dance, Dance Revolution – As was highlighted in the Fall of 07 by INFOCUS, students continue to experience the interactive dance activity game. 

Daily Walks - Classroom teachers take their students on daily 5-10 minute walks around the school’s track. 

100 Mile Club – For students who walk/run 100 miles or more by the end of the school year, their name and the year they achieved 100 miles are painted on a wall in the gym! 

TAKE 10 – Classroom teachers utilize lessons that encourage students to move while learning with “Take 10,” a classroom-based physical activity program for kindergarten through 5th grade students. 

Technology – 3rd through 5th grade students are involved in using technology during Physical Education in a fun and interactive way to learn proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles.  Web sites include My Pyramid and Dole 5 a Day. 

Weight Loss Challenge – Each year our staff participates in a weight loss challenge; last year over 20 staff members participated.
