Walk Across Williamson

Walk Across Williamson (WxW) is a joint effort between the Williamson County and Franklin Special schools, the WC health department and the WC health council.  This is an endeavor to promote a family fun and healthy activity.  On the first Saturday of each month (October through March), between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., participants walk at one of the six participating parks in Williamson County.  These parks are listed on the information flyer link.

On those Saturdays, participants check in at the WxW table to turn in the previous monthly walking log and/or pick up the new month’s walking log.  (If unable to attend on Saturday, the walking log for the month can be obtained from our CSH web site.)  The first twenty participants at each park will receive the monthly incentive.  Don’t be concerned about missing a month, feel free to join up and/or participate at any time.  Some is always better than none and this event is designed with that purpose in mind.  During the month, record the number of minutes you walked on each particular day.

On April 5, the first Saturday of that month, there will be a celebration gathering at Pinkerton Park in Franklin from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (This is a change from the originally announced Jim Warren Park.)  The celebration will include special guests, give-aways and prizes.  These prizes will be awarded in both individual and family categories based on the number of minutes walked in each month.
