Upon entering high school, each student must declare a Six-Year Plan of Study to prepare for post-secondary life. Students must choose among the University Prep, Tech-Prep or Dual Prep pathways. This Six-Year Plan will be reviewed each year by parents, students and school counselors.

T.C.A.P. Competency Test (classes of 2004 only): In order to receive a regular high school diploma, students must pass both Mathematics and Language sections with a 70% mastery.

Gateway End-of-Course Tests: Starting with the class of 2005
Beginning with the class of 2005, students in the state of Tennessee will have to pass three GATEWAY end-of-course tests in order to receive a regular high school diploma. The three GATEWAY tests are: Algebra I, Biology I, and English II (sophomore English). Students will take these tests upon completion of the course. If they fail to pass, they will be able to retake them as many times as necessary in order to graduate. Passing these tests will replace the current requirement of passing the TCAP Competency Test.

Exit Exam: One of the following tests must be taken as an Exit Exam to meet additional graduation requirements:
       

  • ACT
    SAT
  • ACT Work Keys (Tech Prep)

Computer Education: All students, K – 12 grade are required to accumulate at least 180 hours (1 year) of computer education that can be documented or verified. A .5 credit must be taken in high school.

Senior Project: Successful completion of the Senior Project is required for graduation from Page High School.

Promotion: In grades 9-12, students must pass individual courses with a minimum numerical score of 70%. Classification of students will be as follows:

  • 9th grade - 1st year in high school
  • 10th grade – 2nd year in high school
  • 11th grade – 3rd year in high school
  • 12th grade – 4th year in high school and 11 credits by August 15.

College Credit for High School Students
(WCBoE Policy: IDCG):
High school sutdents may enroll in college level courses conducted by an accredited college and receive high school credit if:

  • Student has a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
  • Student has special needs or talents better served by college courses
  • Student has an I.E.P., designating such an option
  • Student must meet additional college requirements (if any)
  • Student has written approval from the principal or designee

A student may participate in college level courses conducted during the school day, provided that the student's schedule can be arranged to make this option possible.  A student may also enroll in a college course after school hours.  Dual credit will be available to the student with parents accepting full responsibility for all costs associated with college credit.
