2008 Page Middle Football Spring Practice Information

Coach Clemons Football Philosophy

Football schedule for 2008, including tryout dates, practices, and games:
May 5^th—May 16th: 2:30—5:00 daily. Spring Practice for current 6^th and 7^th Grade players.
May 16^th: Scrimmage at Page Middle school—3:30 until we decide to quit. We will be playing Woodland, Heritage and Sunset.
May 17^th: Equipment turn-in day— all equipment must be turned in and it must be clean. This is a part of the tryout process. Get it turned in today.
May 18^th: The make list from Spring Practice will be posted at school.
During summer break all potential players must self-condition. I recommend that you workout by doing calisthenics and running, biking swimming… at least three times a week. Light weight training can also be helpful but don’t over do the weights.
July 28^th:—August 6^th: Tryouts will be held for all 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade players. Permission forms and physicals must be up to date and we must have a copy on the first day. Tryout times will be from 3:00 until 5:30 each day. Please do not arrive for practice earlier than 3:00.
August 6^th: A make list will be posted late in the evening. This will be the final list (with exception of new students moving into our community after the cut date).
August 7^th and 8^th: Regular practice begins held daily from 3:00 until 5:30.
Aug. 11^th: WMAA Football Jamboree game times TBA
August 12^th—October 2^nd: Regular practice will be held daily from 2:30—5:00 except game days
