Do We Do?

School
Counselors are available on a daily basis to assist students with
academic, personal, social, and career awareness needs. Page
Middle participates in the district-wide comprehensive school
counseling and career guidance program, which is based on the
Tennessee and National Standards for School Counseling
Programs.
Here are some of the activities
with which Page Middle School Counselors are involved:
- Providing brief individual
counseling on an as needed basis
- Coordinating parent teacher
conferences, GEITs, and 504s
- Assisting students with
transition to high school
- Coordinating with STARS
Specialist
- Assisting with the testing of
students
- Coordinating Red Ribbon Week
to promote drug awareness
- Assisting in coordination of
the Career Fair to promote career development.
- Providing staff development
activities related to counseling services
- Consulting with staff
- Making referrals as necessary
- Conducting educational and
career planning
- Supporting development of the
student four-year plan
- Maintaining a secure and
accurate student record system
- Supporting the development and
well being of students
