Good Morning Page Middle School. Today is Friday, Nov. 6th 2009.  Here are this morning’s announcements.

Please make sure to bring in your Christmas boxes for Operation Christmas Child to your homeroom before November 13th!  NJHS & FCA will be collecting these boxes to give to local underprivileged children right in time for the holidays.

FCA is sponsoring Warm Coats from Warm Hearts. Please bring in your gently used, clean coats so that they can be distributed to people who need a coat for winter. Bring your coats to Ms. Durham’s room by Wednesday, November the 11th.

History Day club will meet Wednesday, November 11th in Ms. Constantine's room.

Guitar Club will meet Monday after school.

Congratulations to the wrestling team to a 45 - 33 victory over Woodland yesterday.  Pins went to Kevin Pierce, Matt Kollenbroich, Kyle Lee, Matthew Bunch, Kevin Pierce, Chase Moon, and Hunter Adams.  Decision went to Michael Eckhart.  Our next match is at home on Tuesday, Nov. 10th against Fairview.  Come out and support the team.

The library & counselors are sponsoring a Food Drive for the local food pantries.  We will have grade level boxes in the main lobby, the sunroom and the library. One can will count for $0.50 toward paying library fines. Each grade level is going to use the items they collect to build a structure.  Representatives from each homeroom will get together Monday afternoon before Thanksgiving break (November 24th) to see which grade level can build the best can/box food structure!

The JV boys soccer team plays away today at Brentwood.

The eighth grade dance will be held tonight in the Cafeteria from 6:00 until 8:00. There will be a Luau theme and Pizza and drinks will be $1 each.

This month’s Character Trait is Perseverance: Pursuing worthy objectives with determination and patience while exhibiting courage when confronted with failure. That’s all for today. We’ll be back tomorrow with more news and announcements from PNN. It is now time for the Pledge and the moment of silence.
