The 2007-08 Basketball season will mark Coach
Whitlock’s 2nd season with the Raptors Boys Basketball Program. In 2006-07 Whitlock made his Head Coaching
debut, leading the Raptors to a tie for 5th place in District 11-AAA
with an overall record of 13-17.
Whitlock teaches in the Social Studies department at Ravenwood and had
spent the previous 5 years with the Pepperdine Basketball program in

having a role in some of his former responsibilities, Whitlock will took on
many additional roles as well, including scheduling, helping with compliance issues,
coordination of support staff, and an enhanced role in recruiting and scouting.
Whitlock helped Pepperdine compile an overall
record of 76-72 (.510), including a 38-32 (.540) mark in West Coast Conference
(WCC) play. The Waves captured the WCC

During Whitlock’s tenure the Waves had the #1
recruiting classes in the WCC on 3 different occasions; 2002, 2003, and 2005 by
Hoopscoop Online and Street and Smith’s magazine. Whitlock also coached 7 All-WCC selections, 3
WCC Freshmen of the Year winners, and 7 professional players, 2 of which are in

In addition to his duties at Pepperdine,
Whitlock also taught in the P.E. Department along with earning his Master’s
Degree in Educational Technology, finishing with a 3.9 G.P.A.
Whitlock is married to the former Tina Rae
Paschke and their daughter Raya Belle will turn 2 in November.
