The 2007-2008 Basketball season will be
Coach Robinson’s third with the Raptor program.
He will be coaching the JV team
as well as being the Varsity Assistant.
In addition to his basketball duties, he will be teaching US History and
World Geography.
Robinson is a native of
While at Lee, Coach Robinson worked as
head student manager for 3 years, and then his senior year he was promoted to
student assistant for the men’s basketball program. His final 2 years at Lee were spent working
on his master’s degree and as the graduate assistant coach. In the 6 years Robinson was at Lee they
compiled a record of 113-86 (.567). The
Flames won 2 conference regular-season and tournament championships. They also advanced to the NAIA national
tournament for the first time in school history. In 2003 the Flames reached the Final 8 of the
NAIA National Tournament. While Robinson
was at Lee they also were the #1 ranked team in the NAIA in 2003, another 1st
in school history. Robinson was
involved in all facets of the college game including: scouting, recruiting,
team travel, study hall, academic advisor, mentor, office coordinator, and
liaison between the sports information department and the basketball
program. Robinson also had the
privilege of coaching 3 NAIA All-Americans, 8 All-Transouth selections, and 1
Transouth player of the year. Of these
players 6 went on to play professional basketball overseas.
