Independence 58, RHS 57 The Eagles (10-13, 4-8, 11-AAA won at the
buzzer over the Raptors in a dramatic district match in which the lead
changed hands several times through the game. With the score
56-56, Independence's Blake Carden drew a foul with 11 seconds left, hitting
both free-throws to give his team a two-point lead. Then, with time expiring,
Ravenwood's Keith Morris drove to the hoop and was fouled while shooting. He
made the first, but missed the second, giving the Eagles the win. |
