Parent Connection is the Williamson County Schools parent
portal this year, replacing last year’s K12 Planet. Using this online tool,
parents can create an account and log-in to see their student’s grades,
attendance, and other valuable information. An exciting feature in Parent
Connection is an option called “triggers”. By setting up “triggers”, you can
identify specified information that you would like to obtain (such as when your
student’s average drops below a certain grade, when he/she misses class, etc.)
and you can choose to receive automated notification when these events occur.
The automated “triggers” can be sent as a phone call, email, or even as a text
message to your cell phone!
The only criteria for a parent to sign-up for this optional
program is access a valid, working email account. The first step in getting set
up is reading and signing the Parent Connection Participation Agreement that is
linked below. This form must be returned to the school office by a parent or
guardian and given to a school administrator. For security reasons, parents will
be asked to show a picture ID when turning-in the forms. Once your form has been
submitted to the school, you will need to print the Parent Connection Parental
Form listed on this page and log-in to
http://parentconnection.wcs.edu
on the internet. The printed form will take you step-by-step through the process
of creating an account, logging into the account, logging out of the account,
and applying for access to your student account. Be sure to fill-in every blank
completely, including your student’s first, middle, and last name. You will need
your student’s school ID number to complete the online process. This is the
number that they use to log-in on school computers. Once you complete the online
process, access to your student’s information is not automatic. Once you apply
for access, a school administrator will verify that you have submitted the
Parent Connection Participation Agreement and will verify the fields you
submitted in your online student request. Once this information is verified, you
will be granted access to your student’s information.
Once you have completed the agreement form and online request
for access to your student’s information, please allow 2-3 weeks for intial
access to be granted.
