Greetings students and parents! I am so excited about the upcoming school year. I thought you all might want to know a little bit about me…here it goes.
I am originally from Cadiz, Kentucky. It is a small town (about the size of Scales) close to Lake Barkley/Kentucky Lake, which is about an hour and a half drive west on I-24. After high school I attended Western Kentucky University and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Upon graduation I taught 3rd grade in Bowling Green, Kentucky for one year before moving to Nashville in May of 2007. I was married shortly after in July just before the school year started last year. This is my second year teaching at Scales Elementary and my third year overall. Last year was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to get started this year.
Also, you should know that I am huge Kentucky fan!!! If you are not part of the Big Blue Nation…I promise not to hold that against you.
