My educational background includes a Masters Degree from Furman University, plus post graduate work at Vanderbilt, Trevecca and Indiana Universities.  I am a member of the Music Educators National Conference, and the Middle Tennessee American Orff Schulwerk Association.  I continue to attend workshops designed for music educators and have served as a facilitator for the Tennessee Arts Academy for six years.  It has been my privilege to serve as the music specialist at Scales for fifteen years.  In 2001, I had the distinguished honor of being the Williamson County Elementary Teacher of the Year.
