Welcome! I am Diane DeBell, and I am thrilled to be returning to Scales third grade. My hometown is Gadsden, Alabama, and I am a graduate of the University of Alabama and attended graduate school at the University of Georgia. I have been a fan of Scales since 1984 when my oldest child entered kindergarten here. My husband and I live in River Oaks with our youngest daughter who will attend Vanderbilt in the fall and our Yorkie, Bitsy. Reading, walking, and watching cooking shows are my favorite out of school activites.

     Third grade is a fabulous year for children as there are so many new concepts and opportunities for learning and fun. I love being here and think of it as my second home.
