Hi.  My name is Kati Foster.  I will be teaching third grade.  Although this is my second year at Scales, it will be my eighth year teaching.  All of which have been with WCS.  I have spent most of that time teaching third grade, with the exception of one year teaching fourth.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it at Scales!

     I grew up and have lived all over the Middle Tennessee area.  My undergraduate degree came from MTSU.  Two summers ago, I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist endorsement. This degree came from TSU. 

     A bit about my personal life...my husband Chris, daughter Maggie (age 3), and son Cole (age 6 months) live in the Grassland area. I like to cook, listen to music (and play - a little), and to be outdoors (camp, canoe, hike).  I actually took Maggie kayaking down the Hiawassee River this summer!  The photograph of the family is from our most recent hiking trip to the Smoky Mountains.
     I LOVE everything about third grade.  The curriculum is fresh, exciting, and challenging; and I enjoy the personalities of the children at this age.  I look forward to a great year!
