Welcome to Third Grade!  My name is Shelly Maag and I am thrilled to be a new member of the Scales family!  This will be my fifth year teaching, time sure does fly!  I taught kindergarten in Ohio for three years and third grade here in Williamson County at Hunters Bend Elementary last year.  I am looking forward to another great, learning-filled year with another community of learners. 

     I am from a small town in northwest Ohio and moved here with my husband and golden retriever, Griffey.  Although we are still Buckeyes at heart, we certainly enjoy rooting for the Vols and Titans as well!  I graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (PreK- Third Grade).  I received my Master's degree from the University of Findlay in Curriculum and Teaching with an emphasis in Reading.  Outside of school, I like to spend time with family and friends, exercise and vacation at the beach. 

     I am looking forward to a great year together!
