MISSION The Scales Library provides materials and resources to support the curriculum and encourage the love of reading. My goal is that students become independent library users, users of information, and lifelong learners with a love of reading. CHECKOUT POLICY: Checkout limits are as follows: Kindergarten: 1 book *1st and 2nd grades:* 2 books 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades: 3 books Books are checked out for 2 weeks and may be renewed for additional 2 weeks.		OVERDUE BOOKS There is not a fine for overdue books; however checkout privileges are denied until the book is returned. LOST OR DAMAGED BOOKS If a book is 30 days overdue, it will assumed to be lost. A $15.00 cost is assessed to all lost or damaged books.
