I don't know about all of you, but I
have had ENOUGH snow for the winter season!
With the coming of spring, there are quite a
few activities to look forward to around
Scales, as well as wrapping up a busy
February.
I want to begin by giving a huge
thanks to our fabulous
Hospitality Committee.
Muffins for Mom was once again a
huge hit thanks to the tireless efforts of
Tanya
Capeling,
Susan Miller and Cathy Fridge
along with all their
dad helpers.
Job well done!
Last Friday night, we had our
Fifth
Grade Talent Show.
Thanks to
Susan
Day and the 4th and 5th
grade leadership team for all their hard
work making this a fantastic event!
Spring Pictures are
scheduled for March 4th, so get ready to
smile!
Our first annual
Songwriter’s Night is set for Sunday
night, March 14th, at Richland
Country Club.
If you have a child ready to come to
school next year, remember
Kindergarten Registration on March 16th.
Also, Sneak-a-peek will be April 27th.
We will kick off our
Spring Book Fair, coordinated by
Nancy Tirrill and Dawn Bart, the week of March 22-26.
Book Fair is a great time to
encourage your children to choose a new and
exciting book to read~ It's fun for adults
too!
On March 2nd,
we will have
Skate
Day, and don't forget to order from
Papa
John's Pizza on March 9th.
Our
Spring Chorus will be held on Tuesday
evening, March 23rd following a very brief,
but important
PTO
meeting.
We will announce and vote on the
slate for this coming year's PTO board.
Looking ahead to the
last couple of months of school (WOW!), mark
your calendars for these big events coming
up in April and May...
Spring
Break on April 2nd-11th,
TCAP testing April 19th-22nd,
Mustang Roundup on April 30th,
3rd
Annual Scales Golf Tournament
on May 3rd,
Field Day May 6th,
Scales Play on May 14th and 15th,
and
5th
grade reception is May 18th.
Enjoy this
busy season, and I’ll see you around Scales!
