I was born and raised in Lilburn,
Georgia (Metro Atlanta).
I attended Georgia Southern University where I
received a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
After graduating in May 2005, I returned to Atlanta
to complete my first year of teaching first grade in
Gwinnett County.
Wanting a change of pace, I moved to Nashville where
I was fortunate enough to get a job at Scales teaching
kindergarten. I
got the opportunity to move back to first grade, and I
absolutely love it.
The students are at such an amazing stage.
I am starting my fourth year here at Scales, and feel
very blessed to be here.
I am currently in graduate school earning a Masters
degree in reading and math.
I look forward to taking what I have learned into the
classroom.
When I am not working, I love enjoying
Nashville (it is a great city)!!
I am very close with my family, so I always make time
to visit back home for a weekend.
I have two incredible parents, an older sister, a
twin sister, and two great brother-in-laws.
They all reside in the Atlanta area, so I visit there
often for Georgia Tech games, trips to the lake, or just
hanging out.
I am looking forward to another great
year at Scales, doing what I love the most!
