NSDC's Standards for Staff Development

The District Office Instructional Departments sponsor many staff development opportunities. This site is designed to summarize the activities of all departments and provide a reference for  Williamson County employees. Please check back to this site for updates and additions. 

  • Some activities offer stipends and others are offered for inservice credit only. If you have questions about stipends, please ask the registration contact for clarification as you register for the classes. 

  • Building level principals approve all professional development activities for their school. Professional development is approved based on school and district goals and individual professional growth plans.  

  • Teachers complete a Professional Growth Plan. This plan is to be submitted to the principal and kept on file in the school office. Plans may be revised with approval of the principal. Staff development activities listed must be pre-approved by the principal.

  • Many classes have a limited enrollment and we ask that you respect others in the district by honoring your registration. Please call ahead if you have a change of schedule. We will keep a waiting list for classes during the summer and make every effort to fill all available slots.
