Mrs. Cates was born in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania and raised in
Knoxville. She attended
Tennessee Tech University
and obtained her Bachelor of
Science in Elementary
Education. She began her career
in Loudon County, having
taught Kindergarten, First,
Fourth, and Fifth grades
there. In March of 2004, she
and her
husband relocated to
Williamson County. She had an
interim position at Kenrose
and at Trinity before
obtaining a full time
position in the 2005-2006
school year teaching Third
Grade. She as a 2 year old son
named
Mason.
