Physical Education
In Physical Education, students are expected to wear
tennis shoes for class. Girls must wear shorts under
their skirts or dresses. If unable to participate,
students must bring a note from home. A note from a dr.
is required if a student is going to miss several days
of class.
The units we will be doing this year are: basketball,
volleyball, jump rope, as well as dance and fitness.
The students do a 5 – 6 minute run to warm up before
beginning the activity for the day. We also incorporate
lots of eye-hand coordination activities such as cup
stacking, cupballs, catching and throwing. Improving
the overall fitness of our students is a high priority
for Physical Education at Trinity Elementary. This
year, students participated in an in-school field trip
where they did a program called “C’Motion”. This
activity is similar to dance dance revolution, where
students wear a pedometer and track the number of steps
taken during the activity. We are looking forward to a
great year in Physical Education!
