Physical Education
In Physical Education, students are expected to wear tennis shoes
for class. It is sometimes difficult for the students to
remember what days are their PE days, so it is advised
that tennis shoes be worn everyday. Girls must wear
shorts under all dresses or skirts. If unable to
participate, students must bring a note from home.
A note from a doctor is required if a student is going
to miss several days of class.
The units we will be doing this year are: basketball, volleyball,
jump rope, as well as dance and fitness. The
students do a 5 – 6 minute run to warm up before
beginning the activity for the day. We also
incorporate a lot of eye-hand coordination activities
such as cup stacking, cup balls, catching and throwing.
Improving the overall fitness of our students is a high
priority for Physical Education at Trinity Elementary.
The district has purchased "Dance, Dance Revolution"
so our students will be able to participate by wearing a
pedometer and tracking the number of steps taken during
the activity. We are looking forward to a great
year in Physical Education!
