Scholastic Book Fair each year with a general theme to support reading.

Special
Activities
Some of the special projects
and activities sponsored by the media center are described below:
Children's Book Week
National Children's Book Week is sponsored annually by the Children's
Book Council to celebrate the joy of reading. CBW is always held from
Monday through Sunday during the week before Thanksgiving. The event has
been sponsored by the Children's Book Council since 1945.
National Library Week
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance
sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the
country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our
nation's libraries and to promote library use and support. Special
activities will mark this occasion at Walnut Grove.
