General Information
Our school media center utilizes flexible scheduling to enhance
units of curriculum study for grades 4-5. Kindergarten
-third grade students have a scheduled check-out time once a week and
are encouraged to check out additional titles or retrieve information
anytime their classroom schedule allows. Information skills are stressed
each week for grades K - 3. Students have access to a fully
automated resource system in the media center, classrooms, and computer
lab over our local area network.
Checkout
Students in grades K -1 may check out one book for one week. Students in
grades 2-5 may check out two books for one week. One additional book for
special classroom reports can be charged out by the students. Books may
be renewed for two additional times and then must be returned for others
to enjoy.
Damaged Books
Please return damaged books to the media center for repair. Books
damaged beyond repair must be replaced. A damaged bill with replacement
cost will be sent home. Should a page accidentally rip, please return to
the media center and we will repair the page with our special tape.
Accidents can and do happen. Pets chew books, younger
siblings redesign them, snack boxes leak, and etc...
Lost Books
Books that have not been returned after 30 days are presumed to be
lost. An overdue bill with the cost of replacing the book will be sent
home.
