Principal Jay Jordan
Jay Jordan,
begins his sixth year as principal of Walnut Grove
Elementary. Prior to teaching and serving as an admissions
officer for the teaching program at Morehead State
University, Mr. Jordan served as an elementary teacher,
elementary principal, and curriculum coordinator for the
Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington Kentucky, During
his career in Lexington , Mr. Jordan served as an adjunct
professor at the University of Kentucky, was president of
the state elementary principal’s association and was state
PTA principal of the year in 1988-89.
His wife,
Linda, is a speech pathologist in Williamson County Schools
and they are the proud parents of two grown children. Mr.
and Mrs. Jordan have two grand children and one very special
pet named “Charlie”. Hobbies included reading, watching
college sports, and working in the yard.
