Laura McConnell has been teaching for 18 years. This will be her sixth year teaching 1^st grade at Walnut Grove. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education. She also has a Masters of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Montevallo. Laura and her husband, Vic, are originally from Alabama. They relocated to Franklin 8 years ago. This year all of her children attend Walnut Grove Elementary. Reed is in 5th grade and Annalee is in 3rd and Harrison is in 1st.
