Laura McConnell has been teaching for 19 years. This will be her seventh year teaching 1^st grade at Walnut Grove. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education. She also has a Masters of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Montevallo. Laura and her husband, Vic, are originally from Alabama. They relocated to Franklin 9 years ago. This year her oldest son Reed in a 6th grader at Grassland MIddle School. Her daughter Annalee and son Harrison attend Walnut Grove Elementary. Annalee is in 4th and Harrison is in 2nd.
