Shirlee Bowden has been on the WGES staff since the school opened. She previously taught at Grassland Elementary and in Newbury Park, California. She has taught all of the elementary grades except for third grade. She has been teaching for 40 years and continues to love it! She is proud to claim “Mr. Cookie” at Publix as her husband. She has been married to Michael for 36 years. She has two children, Brynne who is twenty-nine and Zack who is twenty-five.
